So I’m starting to come out of hibernation,
The den is warm, but limbs stretch
Muscles ask to be used
Tummies demand a lack of abuse
The den is warm, despite it’s being on the floor
Comforting cement with a thin carpet and and inch of foam
A beds a creature comfort for which to call home
But the den is warm
And there’s fire in the heart
And creaking in the joints
And poppinginto places
With christmas lights as dim ambience
Seeking, craving, wanting, lusting
To make art.
Hammer and nails,
A hand saw and pallets.
I could make so much.
A needle foot for a sewing machine.
I could create so much.
Canvas for a hungry mind,
Brimming till bloated,
I could express so much.
The long travel made me weary and excited, bleary eyed and joy seeing, aware of what I subconsciously knew, and tipped icebergs for that which I looked.
Oh this hibernation is almost done.
Perhaps with a mattress there would be another.
Not fully awake yet,
But I remember my hunger.
“Some of us are wild ones, ever underwanted,
I can think for myself,
I’ve got something no pill could ever kill
Hey, I’m not Synthetica, oh
I’ll keep the life that I’ve got, oh
So hard, hard to resist Synthetica, oh
No drug is stronger than me, Synthetica
We’re all the time confined to fit the mold
But I won’t ever let them make a loser of my soul" -Synthetica
"(Advice to heed)
And even though we long to shut it up
We could never choose
(Advice to heed)
I wanted to be part of something
I got nothing but time
So the future is mine" - Nothing But Time
“Out of place all the time
In a world that wasn’t mine to take
Nights are days
We’ll beat a path through the mirrored maze” - Breathing Under Water
“I’ll shut up and carry on
The scream becomes a yawn” - Dreams So Real
I’ve traveled across the vast land of Canadia, mostly by hitch hiking.
I spent two months in Newfoundland AND Labrador.
I made a beautiful German travel friend and hitched with her from Maine, USA to California, USA. We stopped in Colorado and the Grand Canyon.
I hitched down and through Mexico twice. Went to a World Rainbow Gathering in Palenque. Joined an R.V. Caravan in San Diego, and drove, gas jugged all the way to a Missouri Regional Rainbow Gathering. Got on a bus in the caravan and got to Montana. Hitched to the National Montana Gathering. Got on a new bus with veggie oil conversion.
My camera has been dead and gone for over half of this trip, but I am loving life all the same.
